Step into one of the Southwest’s most breathtaking journeys. This guided kayak adventure takes you deep into the heart of Antelope Canyon on a 5-mile round-trip paddle across the calm waters of Lake Powell, where towering sandstone walls and shifting light tell ancient stories.
Along the way, our knowledgeable local guides share insights into the Colorado River, Lake Powell, and the geology and living history of the canyon, helping you connect not just to the views—but to the land itself.
Your experience includes a scenic paddle followed by a 1.5-mile hike into the canyon, where we pause for the best photo moments, quiet reflection, and a deeper appreciation of this extraordinary place. Whether it’s your first time in a kayak or you’re seasoned on the water, we offer gentle instruction and a supportive, adventurous pace.

🗺️ Antelope Canyon Kayak & Hike Itinerary
📍 Meet-Up
Guests meet their guide at Antelope Point Public Ramp. After check-in, your guide will fit everyone with life vests and kayaks, followed by a brief safety talk and paddle orientation so the group is comfortable and ready to launch together.🚣 Guided Paddle Into Antelope Canyon
We launch as a group onto the calm waters of Lake Powell and paddle approximately 1 mile into Antelope Canyon, led by your guide. As the canyon walls narrow, your guide helps set the pace, points out notable formations, and shares insight into the landscape as light plays across the sandstone.📖 Stories Along the Way
Throughout the paddle, your guide shares stories of the Colorado River, Lake Powell, canyon geology, and the cultural and natural history of the region, adding depth and context to the journey while keeping the experience relaxed and engaging.🥾 Guided Canyon Hike
After securing the kayaks, the group continues together on a 1.5-mile guided hike into the canyon. Your guide leads the route, pausing for photos, highlighting unique features, and allowing time to absorb the quiet beauty of the canyon.📸 Photo Moments & Pauses
Your guide will indicate the best locations for photos and brief moments of reflection, ensuring the group stays connected while enjoying the scenery at a comfortable pace.🚣 Return Paddle
We return together along the same route, hiking back to the shoreline and paddling out through the canyon and across Lake Powell. Depending on conditions and the season, your guide may offer a short swim stop along the way.🌵 Tour Wrap-Up
We arrive back at the launch point where your guide assists with equipment and wraps up the experience, answering questions and sharing final insights before you head on with lasting memories of Antelope Canyon. -

Important Travel Note 🏜️
We know many of our guests travel from far away to experience the magic of Antelope Canyon, and we truly appreciate the effort it takes to get here. However, our tour does require a good amount of physical energy and endurance — especially for the 7-mile roundtrip paddle and hike combination.
If you’ll be traveling more than 150 miles on the day of your tour or chose to proceed despite this guideline, please reach out to us before your scheduled time. We’ll send you a special preparation guide to help you stay hydrated, energized, and ready for the journey ahead.
Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities, and we want every guest to have the best possible experience on the water and in the canyon. 💧☀️Adventure Prep: Don’t Forget These Essentials!
You’re about to take on 5 miles of kayaking and 1 mile of hiking, so let’s make sure you’re set up for success (Rain or shine!).
What to Bring:
•Hat & Sunglasses – Shade your eyes and stay cool
•Sunscreen – You’ll be glowing, not roasting
•2 Full Liters of Water per Person – Hydration = happy paddler
•Comfy Shoes – Water-friendly for kayaking + sturdy soles for hiking (Remember that waterproof •Boots Tend to Keep the Water in- Not Recommended)
•Quick-Dry Clothing / Swimsuit / Rain Gear – Splashes happen (embrace them!)
•Snack or Energy Bar – You’ve got miles to conquer
•Bug Spray – Optional, but the bugs didn’t get the memo
•Phone or Camera – You’ll want to capture this magic
•Small Towel or Small Dry Bag – Because dry stuff is happy stuff

For the safety of our guests, guides, and the environment, the following restrictions apply:
🧭 Guided Experience Requirement
This is a fully guided tour. Guests must remain with their guide at all times on the water and in the canyon.🚫 Late Arrivals
Late arrivals are not eligible for refunds. We may attempt to move late guests to the next available tour if space allows, but this is not guaranteed.👶 Age & Size Requirements
Guests must meet minimum age and size requirements to safely fit in provided life vests and kayaks.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
🛶 Physical Ability
Guests should be able to:Paddle a kayak for several miles
Walk 1.5 miles on uneven, sandy terrain
Enter and exit a kayak without assistance
This tour is not recommended for guests with significant mobility limitations.
💧 Swimming Ability
Basic swimming ability is recommended. Life vests are required and provided.🌬️ Weather & Water Conditions
Tours operate rain or shine but may be modified, delayed, or canceled due to wind, lightning, extreme heat, or unsafe water conditions. Safety decisions are made by our guides and are final.🍺 Alcohol & Substances
Alcohol, drugs, and marijuana are not permitted before or during the tour. Guests appearing impaired will not be allowed to participate and are not eligible for a refund.📵 Personal Conduct
Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior toward guides, other guests, or the environment will result in removal from the tour without refund.🎒 Personal Items
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. High Desert Paddle Co. is not responsible for lost, damaged, or water-exposed items.🌵 Environmental Respect
Please respect the land. No littering, graffiti, climbing canyon walls, or removing natural or cultural items.⏰ Late Arrival Policy
Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Due to tight launch windows and guide schedules, late arrivals are not eligible for refunds.
If space and logistics allow, we will do our best to move late guests to the next available tour. However, this is not always possible, and availability cannot be guaranteed.
To ensure you don’t miss your experience, we strongly recommend planning extra travel time and arriving early.
Disclaimers
Guests must arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled tour for check-in, Paddle Talk, and safety briefing. Refunds are not available for missed tours due to late arrival.
